Frequently Asked Questions

Watch Shop

A well-made mechanical watch (manual, automatic, chronograph...) uses up to 7 different types of Swiss or Japanese quality lubricants. Like any mechanical engine, these lubricants must be replaced after a specific cleaning process of all components. We recommend taking your watch to a watchmaker every 4 to 6 years to ensure the mechanism’s long-lasting performance.
For quartz watches, we recommend changing the battery every 1 to 2 years to prevent internal leaks that could cause long-term damage.

If periodic maintenance (every 4 to 6 years) is not followed, the watch may continue running seemingly without issues, but its components will deteriorate over time. This can lead to loss of accuracy or excessive wear of parts due to high friction within the mechanism, which in some cases may be irreversible.

A watch service typically takes between 2 and 6 weeks, depending on parts availability, starting from the date you approve the work. We always strive to meet this timeframe and do our best to complete the work earlier if possible. If any delays occur, we will inform you promptly.

Once you have made an inquiry, we will send you an estimated quote for the work. Then, you will need to drop off the watch at our workshop or send it by postal mail. After inspection, we will send you a final quote so you can authorize us to begin the repair or service. The work will be carried out according to the manufacturer's guidelines, with utmost care and professionalism.
Once completed, the watch will undergo a rigorous quality control. After payment, you can collect it at our store or we will send it to you by postal mail.

For every complete maintenance service we perform, we provide a 12-month Retro Chrono warranty on the work done, giving you added peace of mind.

Jewelry

For most jewelry, we recommend gentle cleaning at home once a month and professional cleaning every 6 to 12 months. This helps maintain shine and ensures stones and settings are secure. If you notice dullness, residue, or loose stones, we advise bringing your piece in sooner for inspection and cleaning.

Jewelry repairs typically take between 2 and 3 weeks, depending on parts availability, starting from the date you approve the work. We always strive to meet this timeframe and do our best to complete the job earlier if possible. If any delays occur, we will inform you promptly.

For every jewelry repair service we perform, we provide a 6-month Retro Chrono warranty on the work done, giving you added peace of mind.
