Acceptance of Terms

By making any purchase, service contract, or agreement with Retro Chrono, the client expressly accepts and agrees to comply with these general terms and conditions, which shall be valid under all circumstances.

2. Services Provided

At our jewelry store, we offer the following services:

  • In-store sale of watches and jewelry (inspected second-hand products).
  • Repair and maintenance of watches (complete service, adjustment, battery replacement, polishing, cleaning, etc.).
  • Jewelry repair and restoration (soldering, setting, cleaning, etc.).

3. Warranty and Maintenance of Jewelry and Watches

In accordance with Legislative Royal Decree 1/2007, amended by Law 7/2021, and European Union regulations, our products and services come with the following warranties:

3.1. Warranty for Second-Hand Products

Second-hand watches and jewelry have been inspected, cleaned, and, if applicable, restored by specialized technicians.

  • Duration: 1 year from the date of purchase (unless a longer period is expressly agreed upon).
  • Coverage: Hidden defects or faults not attributable to normal use or wear and tear.

To claim the warranty, presenting the purchase receipt or invoice is mandatory.

Exclusions::

  • Damage caused by misuse, drops, impacts, accidents, or handling by third parties.
  • Loss of stones, contact with chemicals, or aesthetic deterioration.
  • Accuracy issues in vintage watches without a recent maintenance history.
  • Water resistance is not guaranteed unless expressly stated in the sales document.

Restored or Refurbished Products:
For modified or restored items, the warranty applies only to the work performed, unless otherwise expressly agreed.

3.2. Warranty on Repairs

Technical interventions are guaranteed only with respect to the work performed:

  • 6 months for minor repairs (soldering, adjustments, clasp replacements, etc.).
  • 12 months for complex restorations or complete watch overhauls.

Exclusions::

  • Damage occurring after delivery (impacts, drops, moisture, handling by third parties).
  • Changes unrelated to the performed intervention.
  • Theft or loss of the item after collection.
  • Water damage if a water resistance test was not requested after the repair.

3.3. Water Resistance and Use of the Watch

Water resistance in second-hand or repaired watches is only guaranteed if:

  • A specific pressure test has been performed.
  • This test is documented in the sales or repair record.

Note: Use of the watch in showers, pools, saunas, or saltwater may compromise its water resistance, even in water-resistant models. For sports watches, an annual water resistance check is recommended.

3.4. Accuracy and Maintenance of Watches

Watch accuracy can be affected by external conditions (impacts, magnets, temperature changes) or lack of maintenance. Therefore:

  • Accuracy is not guaranteed if recent maintenance according to the manufacturer is not shown.
  • Mechanical watches: technical inspection every 3 to 5 years.
  • Quartz watches: battery replacement and servicing every 1 to 3 years.

Recommendations:

  • Avoid exposure to magnets, vibrations, shocks, and extreme temperatures.
  • Perform regular water resistance checks and technical adjustments.

4. Deliveries and Deadlines

  • For repairs, an estimated timeframe will be provided upon receipt of the item.
  • Delivery dates are approximate and may vary due to material availability or the complexity of the work.
  • In case of significant delay, the customer will be promptly informed.

5. Estimates and Payments

  • All estimates are free and without obligation.
  • Acceptance of the estimate implies authorization to begin the work.
  • Payment for products or services is made in-store, by cash or bank card.
    Online payments are not accepted.

6. Complaints

  • Official complaint forms are available at our store.

7. Privacy Policy

  • The personal data provided will be processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Organic Law 3/2018.

8. Intellectual Property

  • The images, texts, logos, and other content used in our store and promotional materials are the property of Retro Chrono or their respective owners. Reproduction without prior authorization is prohibited.

9. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

  • These terms and conditions are governed by the applicable Spanish and European legislation.
    For any dispute, the parties expressly submit to the courts of Valencia, waiving any other jurisdiction.
